Size is given by comparison with your own body — palm-sized, arm-length, taller than a person — because that is how anyone drawing or miming something actually thinks about it. The difficulty rating is about how recognisable the object is when drawn or mimed, not how complicated it is in real life.

How this list was built

These are objects, not concepts. A random thing generator that returns “happiness” or “Tuesday” is useless for the games people play with it. Everything here is a physical object you could point at.

The difficulty column is the whole point. Most people land on a page like this to run a drawing or charades game, and a list that mixes “car” with “weather vane” without warning ruins a round. Easy means almost anyone will get it; hard means it is recognisable but will take a good drawer or a brave mime. There are enough hard ones to make a game interesting and not so many that it stalls.

Nothing offensive, nothing brand-name. No trademarks, no products that will be discontinued, nothing that would be awkward to draw in a classroom or at a family table. That rules out a lot of what other lists pad themselves with, and it is why this list is objects rather than anything the word “thing” could cover.

The categories spread deliberately across a life. Kitchen, bathroom, garden, street, tools, sport, music, travel, games and playground. Pressing the button five times should not give you five kitchen utensils.

Can I use this for Pictionary or charades?

That is what it is built for. Use the difficulty column to set the rules — easy only for younger players, or points scaled by difficulty for a harder game. Leave no-repeats ticked so the same object does not come up twice in one session.

Can I get only easy ones?

Not from the button, but the table is sorted so you can scan it and pick, and the difficulty is shown on every row. Keeping the whole list visible is deliberate — it makes the page usable in ways the button alone is not.

Why are there no brand names?

Because they date and they do not travel. A brand everyone knows in one country is meaningless in another, and half of them will not exist in ten years. Every entry here is a generic object.
